Regional University Student Employment Support Council held at Changwon National University

 CWNU (President Lee Ho-young) announced that the ‘Regional University Student Employment Support Council’ was held in the situation room on the 6th floor of the university headquarters on January 10, 2020. 

 

 Establishing a council to support career and employment of local talents, CWNU is operating Regional University Student Employment Support Council composed of experts from all walks of life in order to strengthen university competitiveness by increasing employment rate and expand youth jobs based on cooperation among industry-government-academy. With president as its chairman, CWNU Regional University Student Employment Support Council involves political officials including Gyeongnam provincial member Won Sung-il and Changwon councilor Han Eun-jeong, industry and university career and employment officials such as Gyeongnam-do, staff in charge of job-related departments in Changwon-si, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, Hanwha Aerospace, KT, LH, Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, Changwon Employment Welfare Center, Kyungnam University, CWNU Human Resource Development Center and Field Practice Support Center to play a role in preparing employment promotion plans for young university students.

 

 The term of office of the council members is one year, and they carry out various activities, information sharing, policy suggestions, and spread of achievements to support career and employment of young university students.

 

  In the second meeting, which was held following the first meeting of the council held in August last year, various opinions were presented regarding young university student employment policy and strategies to prevent outflow of excellent local talents, and theuniversity will gather capacity to lead to practical support and policy reflection.

 

 The council also plans to hold regular exchanges and regular meetings to spread the achievements. Saying "We will establish employment support governance that instills a spirit of challenge and hope into local university students through the Regional University Student Employment Support Council and make it an example of industry-government-academic collaboration in creating youth jobs by making concrete achievements", president of CWNU Lee Ho-young stressed "In order to create local youth jobs, organic cooperation between universities, local governments, corporations and related institutions is the most important, and our university will do its best to fulfill its core role".
