Biotechnology Research Institute

With the expansion of the Institute of Genetic Engineering, the Biotechnology Research Institute at Changwon National University was established in 2012. The aim of the institute is to invigorate research in biotechnology ranging from basic science to medicine science and to build a research infrastructure for the establishment of a medical school.

The institute has affiliated research organizations such as the biotech research center, health promotion center, biodiversity center, integrative medical research center, and anti-aging bio-center. Research is done on activities related to the health industry, educational support programs and biodiversity to manage health care and diseases in conjunction with the local community. The institute is also expanding the pioneering works of the disciplines in BT fusion and conducts research through domestic and international exchanges. By contributing to biotechnology and the health, hygiene, and nursing fields, the Institute of Biotechnology aims to foster internationally renowned researchers.
