The goal of the department is to cultivate physics students as professionals who can contribute to the development of the nation and mankind by finding the order inherent in nature and directly contributing to the field of basic science and high technology. In order to achieve this goal, the department teaches classical mechanics, electromagnetism and quantum mechanics as basic subjects, and solid physics, particle physics, optics, and nuclear physics as applied subjects. In addition, since physics is an experiment-based study, education on physics experiments is provided, and education to cultivate the ability to adapt to academic changes and to connect with the surrounding studies is also provided.
