本系的教育宗旨在于培养中国地区专家，
帮助学生学习汉语及中国政治、经济、社会、文化等各领域的知识，成为国家和社区所要求的人才。为此，本系开设有多样的科目。随着韩中交流的增加和中国国力的增强，亟需通过综合而系统的教育培养中国专家。因此，本系正在致力于培养兼备理论和实务的实务型中国地区专业人员，以满足社会和企业的要求。
