What is an exchange student program?

  • This program allows students to study for one semester to one year at an overseas sister university that hasan academic exchange agreement with Changwon National University. The goal is to cultivate internationalawareness and help students grow into global talents.

Advantages of the Exchange Student Program

  • The semesters and credits earned during the exchange period can be recognized by the home university.
  • Tuition fees are paid to the home university, and exemption is provided to the partner university, reducingthe cost of studying abroad.
  • Directly experiencing foreign culture and advanced academics will provide you with an advantage whenpursuing further studies or finding employment abroad.

Eligibility

  • Current and on leave students at Changwon National University
  • Those who have completed at least 2 semesters at this university and have at least 1 semester available fortransfer to another university within the 8 semesters of enrollment (transfer students must have completedat least 1 semester)
  • Those who possess the academic and language skills required by our school and overseas universities.

Students with experience as exchange students may also apply, but new applicants willhave priority.

Selection period

  • Recruitment in late February - early March / Fall semester dispatch
  • Recruitment in late August - early September / Dispatch in the spring semester of the following year

If your score is below 10 points, you may be disqualified based on the finalevaluation by the Director of International Exchange.

Credit recognition

  • Credits earned by exchange students at overseas universities may be recognized up to the number of creditsthat can be earned per semester, and may only be recognized within the range of half of the minimum creditsrequired for graduation.
  • Credits earned by exchange students at overseas universities may be recognized as majors, double majors,electives, or liberal arts at our university.
  • If the credits earned are for major subjects, they must be reviewed by the relevant department (division).Liberal arts subjects are reviewed collectively by the affiliated department (division).
  • If the credit and grade standards for courses completed at a foreign university are the same as those of ouruniversity, they will be recognized as such. If the standards are different, they will be recognized afterreview by the affiliated department (division).
