President’s Message

Since its founding in 1969, Changwon National University has advanced with a clear and forward-looking purpose: to look beyond its 50th anniversary and open the horizon of the next century.

Over the past half century, we have nurtured individuals who strengthen our region and contribute meaningfully to its development. As the only national university in Changwon, a city of 1.1 million residents, we have become an institution that stands as a lasting source of pride for the community we serve.

Changwon National University has played a central role in elevating the Changwon National Industrial Complex, a major center of Korea’s machinery industry. Through this responsibility, we have established ourselves as the region’s foremost institution for education, research, and collaboration between academia and industry. As a driving force in the local economy and a contributor to national progress, we now look beyond Gyeongnam with the ambition to expand our reach throughout Asia and the wider world.

Our vision is steadfast. We aim to become a university connected to both the region and the world through creative research and education.
