인사말

Hello everyone

Changwon University Center for Advanced Materials Research Thank you for visiting the homepage.

The 『Center for Advanced Materials Research (CAMR)』 belongs to School of Mechatronics in Changwon National University. The center mainly focus on advancement of new materials and technological competitiveness in industrial applications that contributes the development in communities and countries. This idea of the center was initiated by Professor Jae-Hyun Lee (1st Director of CAMR) who has interested in evaluation.

At the beginning, the main research areas of the center were metal materials, ceramics, and polymer composites and their recycling. Based on the results of research activities, the centre research specialized on the metal materials and ceramics as a part of research in 2011. Later, the centre was converted to the centre for convergence components research (ERC) as an independent in this field and mainly concentrated on the theory, application of technology and specialization based on mechatronics convergence parts with materials such as new composite materials, new structural materials, new functional materials, characteristic analysis, system design-analysis, research in device applications, and convergence research. In the engineering sectors, as the demand for advanced composite materials increased gradually. In 2018, the Ministry of Education and the Korea Research Foundation sponsored a centered research institute for university in the field of science and engineering (Subject:'Development of eco-friendly flame-retardant hybrid composites', supported approximately 7 billion won over 9 years) and the head (2nd Director of CAMR, Professor Song Jung-il) of the centre had been changed.

The Center for Advanced Materials Research (CAMR) had become a leading center in our university (CWNU) to establish to support basic research and research areas by supporting the infrastructure of university for research and to induce the specialization and research institute’s specialization to foster the young researchers. The Center for Advanced Materials Research (CAMR) has been executing the development and commercialization of research and technology on eco-friendly flame-retardant composites, and flame-retardant coatings. Furthermore, the research center proposed to expecting to broaden to cover the southeastern region for the development of eco-friendly flame-retardant hybrid composites as a hub for eco-friendly material technology.

Thank you
