Founded in 1979, the Department of Korean Language & Literature engages in academic inquiry across three major fields: Korean linguistics, contemporary literature, and classical literature. The department conducts systematic research on the structure and historical development of the Korean language, the aesthetics and criticism of modern literary genres, and the cultural significance of Korea's classical literary traditions, thereby contributing to the advancement of national scholarship and culure.
