This department aims to cultivate leading experts in the development

of music field and related fields through more specific and professional research activities regarding theory and practice. In order to achieve this goal, the department deeply studies the fields of historical change of music, constituting principles of music, essence of music esthetics, social function of music, performance characteristics, and practice of performance and train professionals with more comprehensive music application skills through up-to-date information exchange, active educational activities, and academic research in the era of informatization, localization, and globalization. In particular, we actively cope with the materialism of the modern society through music, develop the local community through music and nurture human resources that the state needs.
