Art studies are based on creative handicrafts and learning to purify humanity,
awaken the foresight ahead of the times at the cutting edge of civilized society, and deepening the expressive world of art creation to to play a leading role in creating cultural arts. In order to achieve this goal, the department will enhance students’ expertise in the style and principles of formative art, art history, and art criticism in the fields of Korean painting, Western painting, sculpture, and art history and cultivate the exploration and creativity of expression techniques, materials development, and theory according to each major. In addition, it faithful to the development process of art and curriculum contents by seeking modernity to new and diversified genres of contemporary art and reaches its educational goals.
