The Department of Bio Health Sciences, which is a discipline that deals with human health and life phenomena,
is expected to play an important role in the competitiveness and future growth of industries. The major research and education of the department include Disease Control (immunology, molecular cytology), Health and Microbiological Resources (health and environmental microbiology), Biological Materials in Health Care (anti-aging cosmetics), Industrial Environmental Health (occupational health, environmental health and health laws), and Toxicity (environmental and molecular toxicology). Through specialized education, the aim of the department is to nurture creative individuals to meet the regional and national needs in gaining global standards for pioneering a better bio-economy.

This department aims to acquire the latest theories and skills in biotechnology by developing basic knowledge in the field of microbiology. Students will acquire the ability to effectively express information and test results related to microbiology. Students in this department develop the ability for creative experimental planning and performance for the identification of microbial life phenomena.
