To develop foreign students' Korean language proficiency, CWNU offers the following Korean courses to graduate/undergraduate students.

Courses

  • Beginner, intermediate, advanced Korean communication: 3 credits
  • Korean grammar Ⅰ, Ⅱ: 3 credits
  • Reading/writing in Korean Ⅰ, Ⅱ: 3 credits
  • Business Korean, Advanced Korean : 3 credits

Graduation requirements for graduates (Master & Doctorate course): Foreign students who enter the master's course during the second semester in 2008 must acquire one of the three Korean language proficiency evaluations stated below.

  • Obtain a level 3 class in TOPIK
  • Take 5 Korean courses (15 credits)
  • Pass CWNU Korean test hosted by the Korean academy (given 2 times a semester)

Language Test for Graduate School

All international students of graduate school should take a foreign language test (Korean) to complete the course.

Exemption of the language test

1) TOPIK Level 4 or higher t

2) Complete 3 Korean class in undergraduate course (9 credits)

  • You should completed 3 Korean classes before the semester of submission graduate thesis (Normally within the 3rd semesters)
  • You should submit the above verification within the application period of the language test for graduation.

Graduation Requirement for Undergraduate

From 2019, all international students in undergraduate should take the TOPIK level 4 or more highter to graduate.

CWNU-Korean test

Korean tests for the foreign students are carried out twice a semester to improve their Korean language proficiency.
