and constructing various infrastructures such as roads, bridges, ports, subways, and dams to improve human welfare for a given natural and social environment and in improving city, transportation, river and marine environments. Therefore, civil engineering is a study that needs to be combined with various related studies regarding law and economics, as well as natural sciences such as geology, ocean and weather, and engineering fields such as computer and electrical engineering. In particular, it is necessary to study deeply through the acquisition of various related studies in the fields of mathematics, mechanics, computer application technology, and measurement and construction technology. Major research areas include structural engineering, geotechnical engineering and water resources engineering. The graduate program also aims to cultivate professional technicians and research personnel who have in-depth knowledge in these fields of civil engineering and have a wide range of advanced knowledge in related studies.
