As the basic study in social sciences,

sociology aims to scientifically analyze the structure of human society and its changes by systematically identifying the social structure and by understanding the social changes. Through the study of sociology, we can gain more insight about not only Korea, but the entire world. Sociological knowledge and analytical skills will be useful in many areas of government, public institutions, media, advertisement, NGOs, etc.
