The Department of Mechanical Design Engineering aims to cultivate capable,

creative, and society leading talents with culture and management ability who will lead future technological innovation by teaching not only basic theory of mechanical design engineering but also advanced application technology. To this end, it develops the ability to use the technologies, methods, and the latest engineering tools necessary for mechanical design and manufacturing, provides a high quality educational environment to succeed in the field of social advancement, and sets the following educational goals:

- Aim to train creative engineers

- Developing technical skills necessary for mechanical design and manufacturing

- Training technical personnel with local and global sense
