The fundamental objective of the Department of Architecture is to foster creative and enterprising talented individuals who will pioneer not only the basic fields in architecture

The key to architecture is design. The fundamental objective of the Dept. of Architecture is to foster talents who design buildings, spaces, cities and even societies. Le Corbusier, the greatest architect, urban planner, and artist, said, ‘Creation is a quest for patience.’ We must constantly listen, ask questions, and seek innovation. The world of architecture is very ordinary and global at the same time. Your neighborhood problems, and global problems, are waiting for our solutions. That's why we need knowledge and imagination about tradition, history, society and environment, sustainability and future heritage, as well as practical skills such as drawing, technology and management.

The architecture major of Changwon National University is a five-year program of an international level certified by by the Korea Architectural Accrediting Board (KAAB) and strives constantly to build the best educational value and environment. In addition, there are abundant scholarships, club activities, and various international exchanges. As a result, graduates are achieving high employment rates and excellent quality of employment.
