Society needs competent Civil engineers to address the increasingly complex problems and challenges related to the design, construction, and maintenance of the infrastructure:

Civil engineers create and maintain essential facilities and systems, including roads, railways, ports, airports, bridges, power plants, and water and sewage systems. Civil Engineering is one of the oldest engineering disciplines. Still, the challenges Civil engineers deal with in modern days are becoming increasingly complex, due to problems related to rapid urbanization and climate change. The department strives to educate and train capable Civil engineers, who will find creative solutions to issues arising in a rapidly changing world. As a Civil Engineering graduate from Changwon National University, you will have the knowledge and practical skills required to create, improve, and protect our built and natural environment.
